Chris Jackman, NP

Chris JackmanChris started off his medical career working as a Registered Nurse in a Surgical ICU in Cleveland, OH. He spent two years in the ICU caring for the sickest post-surgical patients on a day-to-day basis. After two years, he decided to make a change and transitioned into working in the operating room. Here, he was able to use the skills he learned taking care of post-op surgical patients, but now caring for them during their operation and working more closely with the surgeons. It was here that he realized he had a passion for cardiac surgery. After almost a decade in the operating room as an RN, Chris received his Nurse Practitioner degree and began working with the Cleveland Clinic. Chris worked both in the operating room assisting surgeons in open-heart surgeries and thoracic surgeries, as well as caring for the patients after surgery and after they were discharged. Chris is proud of his work in cardiothoracic surgery with the Cleveland Clinic, but made a family decision to move from Cleveland, OH to Charleston, SC.
After moving to Charleston, Chris decided that he did not want to continue to work within the box created by Western medicine and believed he could help more people and truly change healthcare by working in functional medicine. Chris met Dr. Saleeby and, with his mentorship, worked to become a very well-rounded functional provider. In 2022, Chris became a full-time provider at Carolina Holistic Medicine, working out of the Mount Pleasant office. He has since become the Chief Operating Officer with CHM and the lead Provider. He currently splits his time between the Murrells Inlet office and the Mount Pleasant office, and also sees out-of-state patients. He is functional medicine certified by the Priority Health Academy, a functional medicine academy started by Dr. Saleeby. Chris was recently inducted into the Marquis Who’sWho 2025 as an honored listee provider. Please contact us if you are interested in seeing Chris at either location or via telemed.
